Facing Steel, Enriching Lives.
Since our founding in 1831 (the second year of the Tenpo era), we have continued to weave together advanced iron processing techniques while inheriting the spirit of “Tatara” ironmaking.

We are a foundry company that produces a wide range of products through two main business pillars: our Housing Equipment Division, which creates pots, kettles, Goemon-buro (iron kettles baths), and cast-iron enamel bathtubs; and our Industrial Machinery Division, which produces large-scale castings such as marine engines.

Cast Iron Enamel Bathtub
A cast-iron enamel bathtub consists of a “cast iron” base finished with multiple layers of enamel coating. At Daiwa Heavy Industry, our artisans handcraft each unit one by one. By fusing our uniquely developed glaze at a thickness of 1 mm, the glass-like luster mingles beautifully with the water, providing a lasting, warm, and premium bathing experience. Our bathtubs are widely chosen for a variety of settings, ranging from private residences to luxury hotels.
