●Manufacturing process of glass beads
Glass beads are created with a variety of colors and brightness levels through as many as 30 processes, starting from preparation of glass raw materials.

1:Manufacturing of glass primary pipes

Preparing glass raw materials, and heating them at 1,300℃ in the melting furnace, glass like candies are produced. Thereafter, melted glass is formed into thin pipes.

2:Primary processing


Primary pipes are cut to the length of beads by a rotating cutter and put in a rotating furnace at 700℃, corners of cut surface are melted to become round beads. Through washing and finishing processes, they become glossy beads.

2:Secondary processing


Process of “Coloring/iridescence/plating/luster・aurora/application/sintering” is repeated one or several times and beads acquire a variety of beauty.

“BEADED DNA” is a jewelry brand operated by ”Alex Goh,” a Malaysian designer and TOHO CO., LTD. Alex who launched ”Nicolas colors” a jewelry brand, combining beads and stainless steel, started “BEADED DNA” as he wanted to establish a sister brand for youth that was very wearable.
