Established in 1918 (Taisho 7) as Heiando, the production headquarters of Hiroshima’s famous Kakiyokan (persimmon jelly). Reopened after WW2 and continued producing Kakiyokan as well as other Japanese-style confections.
We established a new western-style confectionery department in 1965. At Heiando UMETSUBO, we began making confections from carefully selected ingredients, unencumbered by the framework of what is Western or Japanese. We will continue to create comforting confections using carefully selected ingredients and sparing no effort in the search of authentically delicious flavor.
Butter Cake
This cake combines the gentle sweetness of honey with the aroma of premium butter.
Baked one-by-one in the old-fashioned style, this confection is made with only the most delicious ingredients and no additives.
Hiroshima Lemon Butter Cake
Cake made with tons of Hiroshima’s famous lemons.
The refreshingly sour taste of lemon pairs perfectly with the aroma of butter cake made with premium butter.
Heiando UMETSUBO’s butter cake has been updated!
Certain to please whatever the occasion, whether at home with your family or shared with friends.
