Mishima Foods is a food maker that was founded in Hiroshima in 1970. We strive every day to create value in offering delicious, enjoyable and safe foods to our customers, and are committed to “ingredients and processing” under our management philosophy of respecting and learning from nature.

“Yukari®”・“Kaori®”・“Akari®”

In 1970, we created Yukari®, the first rice seasoning in Japan made from only vegetables. Over the course of about 20 years, we created Hoko®, red shiso seeds especially for Yukari®, utilizing our proprietary technology bring out the natural flavor of our ingredients. With the additions of Kaori® and Akari®, we now offer the popular “Three Sisters Series” of rice seasonings.

The Three Sisters of Rice Seasoning, available in an on-the-go pen-style case.

“Setofumi®” (Seto Flavor), “Norikomi” (Seaweed Flavor) and “Katsuo Mirin” (Bonito Mirin Cooking Sake Flavor)

Setofumi®, Norikomi and Katsuomirin are a premium rice seasoning series released in 1966. At the time of their release, most rice seasoning was powdered fish, but this premium series used dry bonito cut in larger pieces and long strips of black seaweed for processing that maintained the consistency of real ingredients.
(Setofumi® is a certified “The Hiroshima Brand” product.

”Hiroshimana Chazuke” (Seasoned powder for rice with green tea)

Hiroshimana Chazuke is a type of seasoning for rice with green tea that was born in 1970. “Hiroshimana,” Hiroshima-grown vegetables are lavishly used and blended with black seaweed and Arare crackers as an accent to taste and texture. Enjoy the vivid colors and flavor that is uniquely Hiroshimana with this ingredients-oriented Chazuke.
