Established 1831.
A historic cast iron manufacturer that uses traditional techniques.
At Daiwa Heavy Industry, we enrich people’s lives with cast iron products crafted to the highest standards.
Our ironworking methods carry on the traditional tatara method of smelting iron sand.
Our products range from traditional household items such as rice pots and other cooking pots, cauldron baths (Goemon-buro) and enameled cast-iron baths to gigantic engines for large ships.
Our enameled cast-iron bathtubs are made from our unique “dry enamel”. The enamel is baked at a thickness of 1mm so that light reflects off the surface and dances across the surface of the water, creating a luxurious visual warmth that makes bathing all the more relaxing. Our bathtubs are used in a variety of settings from houses to upscale hotels.
