Toyo Advanced Technologies began manufacturing grinding machines in 1929 as the machine tool department of Toyo Kogyo (currently Mazda). We became an independent company in 1989, using the machine tool manufacturing technology we cultivated as an automobile manufacturer.
Among the grinders we manufacture, our internal grinding machines for grinding the inner surfaces of holes boast a top class share of the Japanese market, making us known as “Toyo-the company for internal grinding machines”. In order to meet the needs of a greater number of customers, we have expanded our business to surface treatment and automobile components in addition to our machine tool business. Currently, we are actively engaged in developing medical equipment and other new businesses where the technologies of our three businesses are applied.

DLC coated stent(DLC: diamond-like carbon)

A stent is a medical device used to dilate blood vessels for catheter treatment of angina pectoris or cardiac infarction. We manufacture stents by combining the technologies of our three businesses.

DLC coated medical use scissors, forceps

We use our proprietarily developed DLC coating treatment for medical use scissors and forceps. These products are incredibly safe, biocompatible and feature corrosion resistance. They are coated so that there is no negative impact on the human body.
